The woman behind some of Singapore’s best television and theatric comedy emerged with her funniest play to date. Daisy Irani is all about the old-meets-new comedy style, in a reflection of her Indian heritage and Singaporean life, WALTO is a play that depicts, the evolution of “fresh off the boat” Indians, to their integration into the Singaporean society.

Blending minimalism and culture, the set we came up with was simply created with minimalist panels and artistic cubes and was lighted in an ambient way that turned Goodman Arts Center’s Blackbox into an vibrant and epic theatre location for the audiences to enjoy the casts’ genius comedic acting.
